Is your necklace a clock? Uh yehhh.

The Foals
"Lets disappear til tomorrow" - the amount of times I have fancied doing that, I think I do it by putting on my very floral pjs and joules slippers, climbing back into bed with a banana sandwich and catching an Audrey Hepburn/Some form of 50's film playing on Channel 4. I think Channel 4 must know that their audience on a week day afternoon is going to be hundreds of uni girls who've been to their morning lectures then thought stuff it to the library. You know who you are! :) Anyway this is the first lyric that came on when I've put on the Foals album as I write this post!

Down to the important stuff - "FOALS ARE AMAZING" this is something me and my friend Sophie said to eachother simultaneously when we saw them at a gig at our Student Union. Other wise known as the Engine Shed, a diar excuse for a club that contends of drunken students dancing to Jason Derulo most Wednesday nights with one or two VK blues spilt down their shirts. Don't be embarrassed, I've been there too.. only it was a shot of Buca. Note for future reference: I can't handle shots! They did a brilliant set, and what made it was probably me and Soph knowing all the lyrics to their new album - but have put in our efforts before the gig! Oh and the title - reference from the gig of a guy asking me the time and me going for the necklace haha.

I've always had a lot of love for Foals, the original "Cassius" - classic of course! Reminds me of my college days, think me and my hilarious friend Miss Jack had that on repeat in her little jem of a car for most of our trips to McDonalds - the only place we found we could get to there and back in our lunch hour haha.
Their newest album is an absolute marvel though, so different from their previous work. More lyrics, more emotion, story.. whilst still keeping their signature beat! I might have definitely had a crush on the lead singer (Yannis) til I realised he was about 4 foot tall. Soz Yannis, if Im taller than you in my feels it aint happening. (Obviously he's going to be gutted lol...not.)

Foals are a band my mum and brother like too, not sure about my Dad - if it isn't the Killers or BeeJees, he isnt having it! They, like me, particularly like "Spanish Sahara" - at 6 minutes 50 seconds long its pushing it. It is definitely one of those songs I've tried to play to my friends and said "Just wait til it kicks in though mate...now... oh no wait, it repeats again..shit sorry, one sec i'll fast forward it" (Ps for this song - 4 minutes in you'll get what I mean)
I urge EVERYONE, even you R&B types to listen to their album. I've had a couple of emotional pulling at the heart strings type moments with this album (I was on the train to work with a hangover though, might have affected my hormones!) I'll post two songs off the new album below, hopefully it will make you want to go out and buy the album or at least spotify these boys :)
One last photo!
