A bit of something about Everything Everything.

Everything Everything are a quirky little indie band in the music mix at the moment and for many moments to come I hope.. so of course I like them. Quirky and indie are words I hear to describe me on a regular basis, i think people use them as polite descriptors when really they just think im odd! Anyway enough about me, this blog is all about music guyssss, we'll talk about me when i magicly develop a singing voice and the ability to play guitar out of nowhere and make it big on the scene yehhh? I first heard them on Radio One and immediately googled the band loving their music and of course a cheeky Google Images search to see if they were fit (NOOO i am not vulgar! I am just a girl keen for a guy in skinny jeans holding a guitar) And I was NOT disappointed - Hi, by the way guys ;) ha...

I'd say this band was an odd sound but a very good one at that, I almost think the lead singer has been asked to put on a girly voice, in the manliest way of speaking?! Or someone is holding him very tightly by his.............toes? The lyrics are pretty funny too "PhotoShop Handsome" - I've seen them too guys, wow your eyes are as blue as the sky, skin like a peach, oh wait - photoshop and a bit of shading. Almost the kind of fit I think I look in a mirror after a few too many sambucas?
Always a bit of a skill to get humour into songs - unless your kate nash then you'll have a bit of trouble. But for this band they do it well, the start to MY KZ,UR BF makes me laugh everytime with the look on his face.
And i love that they use the entire band to actually sing, its rare these days - i see a lot of front men with some fit guitar and drummers in the back ground, but rarely all of the band making an effort. Maybe Im wrong, I might have just been focusing on the lead singers of bands too much (i am a sucker for the singer!) What if bands started doing a bit a Westlife/Take that step forward at the chorus thing? The idea of a drummer shifting all his kit forward just for the chorus makes me giggle a bit, just an idea anyway.
This alternative indie rock band (in a formal description) are from Newcastle, Kent and Guernsey...their first single Suffragette Suffragette (a favourite) was their first release and hopefully the beginning of many albums to come. Keep up the good work guys.
A final song suggestion for all you sensitive things out there - their song TIn (The Manhole) played live is just lovely...........Get listening to their album Man Alive to songs like Schoolin' MY KZ, UR BF and I swear it'll make your day that bit better.

Look forward to catching them live at a festival this summer, or I might even make a gig effort to see them on my 21st birthday in Amsterdam, now that would be fun, just to see their beaming smiles :)
