I'm a realist, I'm a romantic.. I'm an indecisive, piece of shit

The Cribs
Ohhhh you're from Waaaakefield? Yeh I love it when you tell someone you're from Wakefield and they immediately imitate how you speak. Ey Daniel? Yeh, that means I live in a council flat, with a pit bull dog and we have the sofa out on the front lawn, permanently. Jokes, I'm a fucking princess and I live in a castle.
I tell you who is from Shakey Wakey though - The Cribs. One of my favourite punky moddy rocky bands ever! I am not just being biased either, they are bloody amazing. Their lyrics, their look, and their sound - I don't think I've ever heard anything like them to this day.
I used to work in this bar called Escobar in Wakefield, live bands from 8pm and stayed open till the early hour of 6am. The only place I liked in Wakefield, and what did Sean do? Moved it to Leeds! What the hell? He has got a decent bar though there which I can still go to but it makes all the more effort. Escobar was the kind of place where all the cool kids went (obviously I had to be there lol....) lots of indie looking guys and girls with very decent music taste... it was only til the other year that the big "Gun Show"/"Look at these swans, they're sick" looking lads started coming in up to their eyeballs on drugs, in vest tops, flat caps and asking for bottled water. Is that really how you want to live your life? NO THANK YOU!
Bit of Cribs info - the English four-piece rock band from WakefieldWest Yorkshire. The band consists of identical twins Gary and Ryan Jarmana nd their younger brother Ross Jarman. They were subsequently joined by ex-The Smiths and Modest Mouse guitarist Johnny Marr who has been made a formal member of the group since 2008. The band, who first became active on the concert circuit in 2002, were initially tied to other like-minded UK bands of that time, most notably The Libertines, by a British music press that were looking for a 'British rearguard' to the wave of popular US alternative rock bands of the time. In 2008, Q magazine described the band as "The biggest cult band in the UK". AMAZING.
I was once working behind the bar and turned to the other bar man, Darce, and said "Shit.. It's Ryan and Ross.. What the hell? You serve them..shit"........to my surprise Darcey leant over the bar, shook their hands and turned me saying "I know them, they're in here all the time".. I managed to squeak out a "Hiiiiiiyaaaa" in an inappropriate and very uncool voice, and shuffled behind the bar in awe of them until they left and I had to sit down. I was half expecting his girlfriend, Kate Nash, to walk in, then I might have fainted! (TRUE FAN/TRUE GEEK? YOU DECIDE!) Yeh as you can guess I am the most awkward uncool girl going in Wakefield and am in awe of people with such skills like that.
Favourite songs? Its a hard one.. I have always liked Mirror Kissers, The Girls like mystery and Hey Scenesters so going to go with those, but you cannot beat Men's Needs as an entire album.
Lads, you were brilliant at Leeds Fest both times I saw you, keep up the brilliant work. And if there is anyone reading this? Listen to The Cribs, for the good of your health!!
