A moment of love, a dream, a laugh, a kiss.

How has it taken me so long to post about one of my most favouritist bands ever? Maybe I listen to them so much that they'd slipped into the the Wellthey'reobviouslyamazingIdontneedtogoonaboutthem section of my life. Well I am very sorry Temper Trap, this little post is one of many appreciative comments to come for you.

Temper Trap were a band I came across quite a few years ago, before the big break out of Sweet Disposition...(just a little note that this is a possible tattoo in the near future for me, saying that I have thought it might be a little awkward when I marry Dougy Mandagi and I'm like ohhhh yeh, this is a tattoo of that song you wrote - No Biggy! Wow this blog is starting to look like I am a massive band groupie, what a nightmare that would be lol...) Anyway it is great to listen to their big hit songs on the radio and is an album I wack on loud while I have a shower, its surprisingly easy to pretend you can sing like him...try it.
But what I have loved most is finding those songs they have done that aren't talked about so much but are brilliant like "My Sun" and "Sirens"... amazing tracks and are backed up by the simple but very cool music videos online..

When I went to V Festival last summer I lost my friends for a good 2 hours after I went to watch them on my own, in shock that they would choose to watch Jaaasssoonnn Deruuuulo over a band like Temper Trap I ran to go catch them and spent the entire set dancing and singing all the words on my own with a beer in hand - was actually one of the nicest things ever though I have to say.
I do have a friend in London, the hilarious Babet (Kris) who looks a lot like the lead singer...Kris did give us a nice impression of Dougy though so he didn't let me down too much.
Back to the music, unbelievable album, even better live........stunning voice and very clever music. In the geekiest way I have to mention the song "Resurrection" and more specifically 4 minutes into the song... listen and you'll know what I mean, good for those that like to go crazy and lose it to the music at gigs.
One of many posts of these to come, FiftysAtHeart xx
