Regina Spektor

Seems that all I really was doing... Was waiting for LOVE.

I really hope she wouldn't mind me saying this, but her Regina's albums and especially her cover of John Lennon's "Real Love"... are the kind of songs a girl might have a little cry too! I personally have toughened up over the past 2 years when it comes to love, but Regina made even me want to wear my heart on my sleeve! The Russian-born, American singer-songwriter is associated with the "anti-folk" scene in New York City's East Village is an inspiration to young women in the music industry and to those that aren't - enjoy her music over a cup of tea in a pouring your heart out moment! I first noticed Regina's work a few years ago, it was on Loose Women of all places, when she performed Fidelity! I liked her music then but admittedly only put her album back on after the film "500 Days of Summer"... which has become my all time favourite, i knew it had tugged at my heart trings when i turned to my dad crying "why can't she just love him back dad?" at the age of 20 years old (oh dear) Regina's music has accompanied other films too but this one seemed the most fitting to me; her lyrics are quirky, loving, witty and overall girly. Here are a couple of my favourite tracks; her new album "Far" is also available - definitely worth a listen girls and guys!
