DISCO DISCO DISCO DISCO

Yes, they are cool
Let me tell you what I do when my day is over.
After picking the right clothes for about an hour.
Oooh, I'm turning orange from all the carats around my neck.
Tonight, I'm takin' out the bling and I'm dressed to impress.

I'm gettin' ready for my night out on the town.
I'm lookin' hot cuz you know we are holdin' it down.
Rockin' high-tops and sayin' no to stilettos.
Cuz I might get drunk off my ass and I don't wanna fall.
Rockin' high tops and sayin' no to stilettos? Fine by me Justice.  Justice are pretty much everything that is right about electronic music, plus they're french so whatever they say goes right? I love the album they released in 2007 and can't wait to see their set live, but if you're a fan then you know whats up next.......?Their new album out 4th April...
Their not yet released track "Civilisation" is the song on the new Adidas advert - which by the way i've watched on repeat - Noooo not to see Beckham's calves or perve on Messi - but the feeling you get watching all those successful sports men, women and music artists does wonders to get you buzzing about your day! I honestly think that my STAR CHILD of a brother will be a successful dancer like them - if not then he'll just continue to do back flips and hiphop moves around me, highlighting my lack of co-ordination and coolness. Yeh........he got all the good genes. Plus all he wears is Adidas and hightops so this advert really reminded me of him! The title of this blog "The way you move is a mystery" would be much more fitting for me, the running man and partyboying other people on dance floor are actual favourites.

Their sets look amazing, flashing lights, dramatic build ups, hands in the air and screaming crowds of people..every person as into Justice as the next. Song like STRESS I would love to see them dj, that constant beat, more sounds out a little bit at a time..... yes i might sound sad but when you're walking through town  with your earphones on and look straight at your flat mates and don't recognise them because you're completely sucked into an album - you know its gotta be good!

Working with Soulwax, MGMT and many other very cool artists they are up there with the best and I really do not see them ever coming down.
MY PARTY is a favourite just because the girl sounds so cocky and the lyrics are quite fitting with how a lot of my friends are......different because they want to be and well yeh, they get wasted. HI ROMY, AMY, RACHAEL. ha.......
We are your friends/ DVNO are classics, but i reccomend anyone that hasn't to get involved with the whole album to psyche themselves up for the next album as I predict its going to be fecking amazing.
Planisphere (consisting of 4 parts, yes 4) on their myspace page is a very good listen - its so dramatic, any of you fellow daydreamers could think up a chuffing novel to go to it.
I could go on, but I won't...........this blog is simply a reminder to anyone that forgot about how amazing Justice were to get their album back on and their speakers turned up loud!

Friday 25 March 2011

There is love, there is lust.

Call out the soft sound, the four letter word.... devoured. Call it out.
All caught up and love struck.
Seventeen Hands

And I will love you better I will love you better I will love you better..................every time I listen to this song I get a little lump in my throat and feel like a big softy all over again. This album is one that opens up a million memories and feelings for me of the past few years, happy ones of course! When we went to LoveBox festival in London and saw Maccabees headlining it was one of the sunniest festival type nights you could ask for, grass stains on our clothes, paint all over our faces arms and legs and I think me and Emily even sported a daisy chain headband for most of that day. The Maccabees were so fitting for that sort of venue and it was a massive treat for me to watch one of my all time favourite bands in such good company. I have to mention just for Emily seeing the most beautiful girl EVER and her gorgeous hat who we stole from a group of girls and adopted naming her Dems' girlfriend for that entire evening!

Their set was amazing, everyone in the crowd jumped when they jumped and say every lyric back to the band, I remember even singing the music bits and singing “dooo doooo dooooooo CAN YOU GIVE IT” to a randomer, funny how a few too many vodka redbulls can fill you with 10 times your confidence ey!
I remember the lead singer wearing a denim shirt and a kind of hiphop looking hat (my brother would know the name of it!) – he just looked very cool, after glancing at the band for a few minutes I turned back to my friends and I think we all put our arms around one another in a big circle (because of the album "Wall of Arms" I think? lol... singing our hearts out……Forever the hippies! Ha, but like I said….Vodka Redbulls and Pimms!

After the festival we went to a very cool but odd party, it was like one of those things you see on American telly. The posh boy outside his big house saying “sorry who are you? I don’t know you? You’re not coming in” and our big group responding with “Woo spring break!!!” and carrying a beer keg past him! Apparently one of us knew him anyway, not me… I just snuck in and was poured a very large drink by a very handsome looking chap. He later told me to meet him in the bathroom to tell me a secret and kissed me as soon as I walked in, I wouldn’t usually share things like that…but I found it very smooth! Was a plus point of the party… bad point of the party? Being offered cocaine by a random at the party (guess where he was from – wakefield! Why was he in London? CHAV!) and seeing a girl inject only what I can imagine was heroin into herself at the party…Stranggeeee people.

The first album Colour it in always felt too young for me, I liked songs like "First Love"....the line "with toothpaste kisses, and lines...I'll be yours and you'll be mine" gets me every time, feeling overcome with romantic thoughts! But the rest of the album I associated with these two lads I knew at the time from college who thought THEY were the Maccabees and did my head in........so I ignored this band for a while (sorry Maccabees!) until they released this last album Wall of Arms. I felt like their sound had matured and they were much more in their own! Anyone agree with me? Possibly not but I enjoyed it much more than their early stuff work!
Songs like William Powers and Seventeen Hands are songs that put this album above the rest.............I know that in twenty years time I can pick this album up and still like it as much as I do now. Relaxed and ever so slightly romantic, they have one me over!

I’d also like to say that the lyrics :
“If you’ve got no kind words to say you should say nothing more at all”
are very fitting for me right now…….I really want everyone to appreciate what they’ve got, family…friends…the fact that we’re in our twenties and life isn’t that bad! I’ve had to deal with enough upset in my teens and recently when I lost my grandparents, so just take a step back and appreciate those people that love you…………….hippy talk over,
"Lets kiss and resolve"
whack this album on – which I will soon be buying on vinyl after my lovely Nanna has just bought me a record player for my 21st and given me all her old LPs!
They’re a cracking band and bloody brilliant live…. Hope to see them at Benicassim this year, are they there? We shall see!

FiftysAtHeart xx
PS. Next post will be on Justice as some guy who is like in love with me won’t stop buzzing about them…..last note: D’angelo is shite!

Gnarls you cheeky bugger!

"He's like a shit Gnarles Barkley.........." a few seconds later I found out he actually IS Gnarles Barkley, thats enough to confuse natural blonde for a few minutes! Now I haven't ever really liked old Cee Lo before tonight, until his new song came on 4music, and I am loving it - was only a matter of minutes before he was added to the 21st party playlist (I'm 21 on tuesday by the way, Grace Easter fans send your gifts and cards to my Uni address, kidddingggg........but seriously, uni address)
His new song is like a mixture of Robbie Williams "FEEL" which is one of my favourite songs of all time --> Yes I have Take That tickets with my mum for the summer, and we have been to one of robbies concerts together screaming his name!! and a James Bond, if you listen you'll here he's stolen both tunes, sorry to ruin it but he's been very cheeky! Anyway this song is brilliant, and I would like to draw everyones attention to it! And also remind you of how good Gnarles is with "Crazy" and "Smiley Faces". Hope everyones had a lovely day in the sun, I spent it in the library but have been under strict instruction that I have to do my work otherwise I don't get a birthday party!
FiftysAtHeart, with Robbie Williams on full blast, pampering one self and over moisturizing my skin as usual. SOFT SOFT SOFT! xx

I'm a realist, I'm a romantic.. I'm an indecisive, piece of shit

The Cribs
Ohhhh you're from Waaaakefield? Yeh I love it when you tell someone you're from Wakefield and they immediately imitate how you speak. Ey Daniel? Yeh, that means I live in a council flat, with a pit bull dog and we have the sofa out on the front lawn, permanently. Jokes, I'm a fucking princess and I live in a castle.
I tell you who is from Shakey Wakey though - The Cribs. One of my favourite punky moddy rocky bands ever! I am not just being biased either, they are bloody amazing. Their lyrics, their look, and their sound - I don't think I've ever heard anything like them to this day.
I used to work in this bar called Escobar in Wakefield, live bands from 8pm and stayed open till the early hour of 6am. The only place I liked in Wakefield, and what did Sean do? Moved it to Leeds! What the hell? He has got a decent bar though there which I can still go to but it makes all the more effort. Escobar was the kind of place where all the cool kids went (obviously I had to be there lol....) lots of indie looking guys and girls with very decent music taste... it was only til the other year that the big "Gun Show"/"Look at these swans, they're sick" looking lads started coming in up to their eyeballs on drugs, in vest tops, flat caps and asking for bottled water. Is that really how you want to live your life? NO THANK YOU!
Bit of Cribs info - the English four-piece rock band from WakefieldWest Yorkshire. The band consists of identical twins Gary and Ryan Jarmana nd their younger brother Ross Jarman. They were subsequently joined by ex-The Smiths and Modest Mouse guitarist Johnny Marr who has been made a formal member of the group since 2008. The band, who first became active on the concert circuit in 2002, were initially tied to other like-minded UK bands of that time, most notably The Libertines, by a British music press that were looking for a 'British rearguard' to the wave of popular US alternative rock bands of the time. In 2008, Q magazine described the band as "The biggest cult band in the UK". AMAZING.
I was once working behind the bar and turned to the other bar man, Darce, and said "Shit.. It's Ryan and Ross.. What the hell? You serve them..shit"........to my surprise Darcey leant over the bar, shook their hands and turned me saying "I know them, they're in here all the time".. I managed to squeak out a "Hiiiiiiyaaaa" in an inappropriate and very uncool voice, and shuffled behind the bar in awe of them until they left and I had to sit down. I was half expecting his girlfriend, Kate Nash, to walk in, then I might have fainted! (TRUE FAN/TRUE GEEK? YOU DECIDE!) Yeh as you can guess I am the most awkward uncool girl going in Wakefield and am in awe of people with such skills like that.
Favourite songs? Its a hard one.. I have always liked Mirror Kissers, The Girls like mystery and Hey Scenesters so going to go with those, but you cannot beat Men's Needs as an entire album.
Lads, you were brilliant at Leeds Fest both times I saw you, keep up the brilliant work. And if there is anyone reading this? Listen to The Cribs, for the good of your health!!

Ska Reggae, Skinheads & My Saturday Night

Okay I'll set the scene.......Finishing work on Saturday me and everyone from work set off to our friend Amy's being slightly sceptical that our prospective plans for the night were going to involve a social club & a 78year old DJ called Derrick. The night began well, the amazing Miss Landers made us Jerk Chicken, Rum Cocktails (very in keeping with the Jamaican theme!) and we listened to a bit of House. At this point I know I got drunk very quickly, STANDARD for me.
DJ Derek himself
Calling up 4 taxis we got there all carrying a bit of journey juice (for anyone that doesn't know this term its where you take some alcohol for the walk, take note though --> wash the milk carton THOROUGHLY before filling with wine!) We turned up at TJs Social Club, I was worried that a play suit and converse outfit wouldn't look right, but found myself surrounded by skinheads, mods and rockers. so stopped caring after around 45 seconds.
FAST FORWARD a bit: Within half an hour and a few sambucas later the dance floor was packed with the coolest looking people I have seen on a night out in a while - I genuinely felt like I was on the set of This Is England '86. Guys with plaid shirt buttoned to the top, side burns and blunt fringes, turned up jeans Doc Martins. Girls with shaved heads, long fringes and doc martins. Brilliant! I didn't know this still existed!
I want to look like this!
When DJ Derrick, The white man with a Jamaican accent came on we were buzzing, he sung and danced to the best Ska Reggae music I have ever heard....We danced all night, and as I am writing this I've just remembered me and Miss Romy Allies & Miss Rachael Frost got on stage in front of a few hundred people. SHIT I totally forgot I high- fived Derrick. LOL. Anyway to sum up, amazing music, great company and one of the best nights I have had in months!
PLEASE listen to this song as it totally sums up that night and is the sort of music anyone will love listening too. Shout out to DJ Derrick and everyone from Harvey Nichols that made my Saturday so good. Romy thankyou for being "in sync with my mindd mannnn" Rachael thanks for getting me on stage, Olly thankyou for letting me sleep on you, David thankyou for the blanket and Amy thankyou for putting my zombie like self to bed (and for the chicken!)

Do Do Da Doo Doo....MEGA!

"We never had a heart to heart but you still call me up after dark" is the phrase I would like to send out to a select few guys I know that think its OK BABE to call me up at 5AM like "Yo Grace, remember 3 years ago when we kissed? Yeh I am still going to call you every saturday night because your facebook status says "single" Maybe not Yo, some are from Wakefield so it'd be "Eyup" or "Y'alright Love" to begin the phone call. LOL.
This song is not all about BOYOS though, I relate it more to me and Sophie doing a surfer hands dance move we like to put to well, EVERYTHING. What an absolute tune, really though!
I first heard it at MODA in Lincoln when I was buzzing off Annie Mac's DJ set (my goddess!)... it is one that you cannot not dance too........ The Count & Sinden are very spooky sounding in their other songs and then they drop into like this dark and dirty beat. LOVE IT.These 2 DJS collaborated with Mystery Jets but please listen to their other stuff too as they are brilliant for you DUB-WHORES. (Hands up, I'm one too. Brap brap - LOL)
Now, I have a secret..............They are responsible for the "get me on my beeper beeper beeeeeePER" song - WOAH now don't hate them! They gave us a good beat, surely the only bit we liked in that song? They've remixed everything from Mystery Jets to Alphabeat, who I thought were the same band for a long time......sorry MJ and AB, change it up a little!
Like their song MEGA for a Friday night too, really gets you in the mood for a Thursday night out.
Here are a couple of their songs anyways, gonna go dance with my head down, throw my arms about and bust some moves in my room now to some DUB and BASS.

Friday 18 March 2011

The music that we play, will ease your mind.

Act casual Boys

Absolutely buzzing are the words I would use to describe my feelings after I had listened to the new Chase & Status album.......old school rave music has come back at its best, 5 words though... GET ME TO THAT RAVE. Songs like Hypest Hype with Tempa T (please google this guy, you will laugh) and Blind Faith just want me to jump about and go crazyyyy! You will see in the video for Blind Faith that the people are looking for the best night, calling eachother up wanting and NEEDING a good "Paaarrttyy" in the words of Frank Gallagher. I personally think this is how my Friday night should be, no doubt I'll get a taste of that when I move to London though.
Driving home from uni today me and my equally buzzing friend were nodding our heads and hitting the steering wheel to their new album. God I wish we looked cool when we did that, but we're northern and have no rhythm, so you can guess how that picture played out?
What I like about Chase & Status is that they never disappear or "need a break" from the busy music scene, if you want to see them they'll probably be within a train journeys reach. Good effort lads.
Their 2010 album More Than Alot reminds me of my summer in 2009 (one the parents don't like to talk about) when I had a bit of spell where 7 am was my new bed time and I had no sense of what was "too loud" on my speakers. I used to work at a brilliant bar called Escobar, very indie indeed, but I remember getting there late one night (straight from the airport I might add, note: flying then absinthe is a no go)....I convinced my boss to play Chase & Status, to my surprise he agreed and we danced about with no care for anyone else to them like they were there.
Favourite songs? All of them. But for old times sake : Pieces, Running and a White Lies Remix (See Below) & Eastern Jam. But most importantly their new album on a whole is just amazing.
You will have seen recently that they've got together with Clare Maguire, Dizzee Rascal, Mali, Liam Bailey and of course Plan B. Get Involved!! To sum up they're doing better than ever right now, keep up the remixes and good luck with the album. Readers --> Get listening!
FiftysAtHeart sat singing "You can only fool yourself for so long so long so longgg"xx

You make my Dad look cool - How does it feel?

New Order
"I feel so extraordinary.. Somethings got a hold on me..." New Order you beauties. I do have a small/LARGE amount of jealousy for you though, the amount of times I've stuck out my bottom lip and said "But IIIII wanted to be in the 80's" is too many times. Blue Monday is of course my favourite, if I HAD to get up on the kareoke this would be one of the songs I'd say Oh Go on then too, not like i've sung it into a bottle of wine dancing round my room or anything - just sayin'....if I'm asked I'll get up, I am prepared.
To sound all robotic on you "New Order combine new wave and electronic dance, they are one of the most critically acclaimed and highly influential band of the 1980s". They make my Dad look cool when he gets up to dance to them.
If you're not sure who I'm rattling on about yet then you might not know the band but will definitely know the opening drum beat? Remember it? Yep thought so.
By the late 80's they were hugely influenced by the sounds of Ibiza and the acid house tunes, (just like my life then?) making their way into the Mediterranean. Their original guitar-bass-drum music was updated and revamped in you like to fit the "Scene" - good thinking Batman and is now in keeping with the sort of stuff us Young Ones like now!
So if you're going to listen to their album, then do what I do... get on your hi-tops and headscarfs, a cheap bottle of Rose and convince yourself you're "With the band"............ has entertained me on many a single night in with no place to go (Rare obviously, got to say that to keep up my rep..jokes jokes. my huge rep is safe)

FiftysAtHeart jamming to New Order avec un grande glass of Rose! xx

Deaf Chords, Dead Ends. Dumb Whores, Best Friends

All these new artists and bands are being pushed my way and I've gone wayyy off track now to blog about those talented favourite individuals of mine. definitely not complaining though, my youtube playlist hasn't been this exciting in a while! Today I've posted links to various people/bands and had tonnes of hits (very happy), I just need some feedback now guys and girls?!..Just to give you a heads up, when I graduate in summer I'll be looking to go to gigs, take some sexy photos with an SLR and blog about them - getting some practice in before I start applying for some jobs. So ANYONE out there please send me a quick message on here or facebook "Grace Easter"............I will be eternally yours, well until i get big on the scene and that...OBVS joking. Don't be hating on me. More details on my day that you don't care about you ask?! I saw a camp looking man waving at me from his apartment (I THINK HE FANCIES ME), I dicked about in the library getting covered in Flump and Refresher sugar, and have been told 3 times that I looked like a rep fro Urban Outfitters today - surely not a bad thing?
Onto zeee musique yess? Its all about a sexy band called Sleigh Bells..... definitely punky and upbeat, felt more indie than ever listening to it in my big headphones today. I tell you what though, they LOVEthe electric guitar and drums, felt like I was on a scene of Skins (the old skins when they could act and Freddy was in it) listening to their album. Its like Crystal Castles, slowed down and making more sense!

The girl looks so hot on her videos and pictures too, blunt fringe and ray-bans, can I be you for a day please? And guys.. she's got a sleeve tattoo, what more can I say this girl is cool. He is looking very American Apparel and snogable in their shots too. In their video (below, infinity guitars) I genuinely could see me wearing that outfit and it being a theme tune and to me 5 years ago walking back into schools and kicking the shit out of anyone that bullied me back in the day lol........too late though, I was far too soft back then - Hard As Nails now aren't I. I'm not going to go on about the gun show, but seriously I am HENCH.

I've read up on this Noise Pop duo and seems they are possibly bringing out a single with Beyonce, wicked. Beyonce can turn her hand (with a ring on it) to anything these days so thumbs up I say... they're based in Brooklyn New York, have released an album called Treats which in my opinion is a very good listen. I'd definitely like to see where they are performing this year,  previously supporting bands like Foo Fighters - they must be good. Have a little listen and look at the videos below, first one punky, second's more chilled.

Shower Songs & The Replay Button

FUNERAL SUITS
Time to share a new little song with you, courtesy of Miss Sarah Walker, who shares my abosolute love for indie soul music. This song (COLOUR FADER) has been on REPEAT for the past 3 days on Youtube, I've not a clue where to find this band in the material format of a CD (screw anyone that thinks I'm old fashioned for liking my CDs) or MP3 for all you young things. Again, I've ended up liking a song that like the Foals and other bands gives the song a build up to a lovely instrumental bit or shouty chorus! LIKE LIKE LIKE. I'll be honest I don't know exactly what the lyrics are to this song but I can go along with it quite easily as it sounds like me singing in the shower.......gotta be a decent sound then hasn't it really?
Have a listen, I'm working my way through the album on YouTube. And liking another song Black Lemonade - more upbeat and smiley! Thanks to Walker for her suggestions, loving getting facebook messages from anyone that reads... makes me feel a little bit more sanity to write about music, and not think of myself as a fruit cake like I know a lot of you do! Hope you all have a more exciting day than me, library bound but in the company of some loud whispering friends.

I reach out for you & our hearts collide

Doing what they do

Cut Copy Cut Copy Cut Copy!

Definitely one of my most favouritist bands out there at the minute, and yet hardly anyone I speak to knows about them? Songs like Lights & Music// Hearts on Fire They sound like New Order mixed with Daft Punk, couldn't ask for more really could you...
If there was a name to be attached to the words "Indie Soul" in the urban dictionary it would have to be this band...you know, just like in the English dictionary there is a picture of my beaming face with thumbs up next to the words "Cool", "Banter" and "Quirky".....kidding! I'm only next to "AMAZING" at the moment, look me up.
What I like about their albums are that you don't have to press skip or jump up to turn down the volume on a song because it was louder than the last, I like albums that have a particular sound for the whole thing rather than jumping about......if you want an uncomfortable listen all you have to do is listen to my own iPod on shuffle, going from James Brown to The XX to Maccabees to Bob Marley! Thank god for Playlists.
I THINK I saw them at LoveBox in London, but that day was a hyper blur, if not then I have seen them do a DJ set which was equally good.. I do plan to see them very soon though, they're just on a tour at the moment heading round Europe and places thereabouts. If they don't call in to England before they head back to Oz I will probably DEFINITELY be gutted.
I quite like their look toom, baggy tshirts and skinny jeans meets surfer boy hair....
Fit, I know.
Anyway in July the band rejected offers to support Lady Gaga, Nine Inch Nails and Coldplay. (Quite a mix ey) which is good on them really, I don't think their sound has any resemblence to Gaga's fringe and hot pants/Scary vampire looking men/coldplays crying songs. Get them on a set with Peaches and 2manyDJs, not those losers.
Have a listen anyway, whislt I write about how Kiera Knightley looks fit in the Chanel adverts - uni work BORE OFF!

Save me twos on that yeh?

In aid of being in Wakefield for 5 days of this week I thought it was only right to show my chavvy side.......LOL JK, as if I have one! But I do question it sometimes with friend like Miss Stevenson who cried when she missed "SASH" at the worst club in Wakefield (hilarious) and I'm liking songs like this one with a high pitched voice singing "Oo i love you so".......but I think I can spin it round with this song and say "It's Drum and Bass mate" WOW i am so wakey today...........
Anyway, I am liking Skream a lot and have been since about Decemeber..thought it the perfect time to bring it up now its on prime time radio and not remixed into one of Annie Macs playlists. The chorus, if you can call it that, makes me feel 12 again when all I listened to was stuff like this in the park with my thick black eyeliner (nick named Panda Eyes) and hair scraped back to my head (No, the boys didn't fancy me at school!).. I wasn't chavvy enough to wear Nike Airs or drink "tinnys" but just enough to disguise my tom boy behaviour and the fact that I actually lived in a netball kit and football boots!
Anyway here we are guys & girls..make a vodka redbull and turn this up LOUD before a night out!!
Notsofiftysatheart tonight xx

Thursday 10 March 2011

Hey Girls, Hey Boys...2ManyDJ's..Here We Go.

2manyDJs///Soulwax

Planning my 21st celebrations OR Post-structuralist management and the world of advertising science ? I think you can guess what I've been up to, I WILL go back to work soon though. I've been looking for a the perfect gig to go to in London for my 21st, its a double celebration with my gorgeous friends Dems (he might be a little older than 21 though now ;) ha..) but forgetting that it is going to be one wild weekend that awaits us. Anyway I got searching for 2manydjs tickets somewhere but seems they are keen on the north over march and april - STRANGE. So someone else will have to entertain us! I'd like to blog about them anyway.. 2ManyDJs/Soulwax as you might otherwise know them as are 2 Belgian Funk DJs whose electric mixes have played to clubbers all over the world; their now A List status has got artists like Royksopp, MGMT and even Mr Beethoven queueing up with their cds shouting "MIX MEEE". Maybe not literally speaking but thats how the scene plays out in my head!
First saw these at Benicassim FIB Festival in Spain; they were the headliners on the first night and were for want of a better word since I am apparently overusing this word at the moment: AMAZING. Me and the girls didn't know what to expect when we got their. Electronic/Dance playing outside - questionable?! It was like when I saw FAITHLESS at V Festival, utterly disappointed.. to say I had love them for as long as I can remember I was massively disappointed when I saw a little Alien looking man on stage who fidgetted about on stage, up to his eyeballs on drugs and singing in a way that looked like he was having a spiritual thing with God....It did rain soon after that actually, I blame you MAXI JAZZ!

2 many DJs are pretty damn awesome though, they managed to remix Destiny's Child into Chemical Brothers into Beethoven one after the other.. it got us jumping and hyper anyway - think I might have even snogged a rather good looking guy who was stood next to us in the excitement. (Great excuse by the way girls ha!)
What added to the effects of the set too were the images they played on screen, you could barely see the DJs themselves but it really didn't matter as they played funny images and flashing faces as you danced away, glow sticks in one hand and a pint of something in the other!
Would recommend listening to the songs below and doing a little search of your own; if I don't get to see them for my birthday they will be making a BIG appearance in my music playlist for one of numerous pre drink parties! FiftysAtHeart xx
